St Kilda Botanical Gardens Wedding

This was such a fun wedding. Ashlee and Andrew were married at the end of Spring, right when the crazy Melbourne weather is becoming its best. Set in the lush grounds of the St. Kilda Botanical Gardens it made for a calm and peaceful backdrop for them to become husband and wife.

The first stop of the day was the groom and his men where they were getting ready at home. Andrew had told me, jokingly I think, he had a half pipe in the back yard and we should get some photos of him skateboarding in his suit. Never one to say no we shot outside while the boys had some fun.

Ashlee looked amazing in her Bernadette Pimenta Couture gown with some incredible lace detailing and it was evenly complemented by her Jimmy Choo heels.

Their day went off without a hitch and after arriving at Encore in St. Kilda it was time to party. As the sun went down over the St. Kilda waterfront their guests were entertained by the band Stolen Apples and for their first dance as husband and wife Ashlee and Andrew chose to dance to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking out Loud. Half way through the music cuts out and Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk came on where Ash and Andrew broke out into a choreographed dance that wowed their guests (and surprised me! Thanks for the heads up guys! haha!)

It was a beautiful day and perfectly summed up Ashlee and Andrew’s love for one another. Beautiful, fun and vibrant.
