An Unforgettable Kerrie Hall Wedding: Kate and Chad’s Heartfelt Celebration
From the moment I met Kate and Chad, I knew their wedding would be something special. They are two of the kindest people, with a down-to-earth charm that truly shines. Their vision for their wedding was simple and true to who they are: they just wanted to get married with their closest family and friends, savoring the day surrounded by loved ones. Their engagement story perfectly captures their unique approach to life together—Kate shared, “We were chopping vegetables at my parent’s house, and I just said, ‘Hey, do you want to get married?’. We had a quick chat and decided right then that we were engaged!”. For Kate and Chad, everything is about authenticity and love, not show.
The original wedding date was set for mid-2020 on Kate’s grandparents’ property, a place rich with family memories. But, like many couples, they faced the unexpected challenges of 2020. After several postponements, they rescheduled for April 2021, this time at a new location that turned out to be perfect: the charming Old Kerrie School grounds, followed by a cozy reception down the road at Kerrie Hall.
The entire day was filled with personal touches and contributions from family and friends. Sustainability was also a priority, with no single-use items. Kate created her own floral arrangements and even sewed Chad’s tie herself—a testament to her talent and dedication. The cake, a stunning vegan creation by Mr. Nice Guys, was another beautiful detail. Adding to the sentimental atmosphere was stained glass artwork made by Chad’s late father, a heartfelt tribute to someone dearly missed on such a meaningful day.
Opting out of most formalities, Kate and Chad kept things relaxed, focusing on catching up with friends and family over delicious wood-fired pizza from Happy Camper Pizza. With laughter, a few happy tears (especially from Chad!), and a lot of love, this Kerrie Hall wedding was everything they had hoped for and more.
